Zach Altman is a sophomore undergraduate at the University of Texas at San Antonio, majoring in Kinesiology and minoring in Spanish. He plans to pursue a career in physical therapy. Over the past four years, Zach has raised nearly $25,000 for Make-A-Wish, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to granting wishes to children with critical illnesses. He has run nine half marathons, one full marathon, and desires to one day complete an IronMan Triathlon.
Zach was TEDxSanAntonio’s youngest-ever speaker last year, captivating the audience with his thoughts on the hazards of officiating youth sports. From that gig, Zach was invited to speak at the National Association of Sports Officials annual conference in July.
