Shawn Villaron has been with Microsoft for over 20 years. His teams build products on variety of platforms, ranging from desktops like Win32 and Mac to browsers to mobile clients and even standalone services. In addition, to his PowerPoint and Graphics responsibilities, Shawn has spent more than a decade working in document standards, leading the Open XML effort at Microsoft and participating in a number of world-wide standards bodies, including ISO/IEC JTC1/SC34 WG4 and as a founding member of Ecma TC45. He also works closely with start-ups in Silicon Valley evangelizing Microsoft technologies. Shawn has studied Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and held two internships with Microsoft.
